Day 935

Never give up on yourself– that’s what I keep learning.

It’s 4  : 06 PM on day 935 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  stretch my hamstrings, brush my teeth,   take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean t-shirt on,  make sandwiches as part of Virginia’s Sandwich Run with our housekeeper’s help-I believe every day is an opportunity to make a difference which is why I aim to use every moment of my life to help others – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast,  pray, read Leviticus 15, publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands, practice picking up coins and squeezing a ball to improve my right hand’s fine motor skills, watch TV and  feed myself brown rice and curry for lunch.

This afternoon I decided to try to pick up coins to improve my right hand’s fine motor skills it didn’t work so I decided to try squeezing a ball it worked all my fingers went around the ball and I was able to squeeze quite hard some occupational therapists may think I’m beyond help but as long as there’s breath left in my body I will never give up on myself.    Have you given up on yourself or do you believe there’s hope for you yet?
