Day 922

A society is defined not only by what it creates, but by what it refuses to destroy –John Sawhill

It’s 3 : 34 PM on day 922 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, pray, read Leviticus 2,  publish my Disability of the Day feature and practice typing with both hands.

As you may or may not know today at 8: 30 PM local time people will be turning off their lights for an hour as part of Earth Hour – an annual event that aims to raise awareness about climate change– you may be wondering what is there to do in the dark well there are plenty of things you can do in the dark I’ve come up with a list. Take a look:

5 Things You Can Do During Earth Hour

  1. Play board games with family or friends
  2. Go outside and stare at the stars
  3. Talk to the people who are with you
  4. Think about all the things you have that other people may not have and be grateful
  5. Sleep
