Day 905

Don’t compare – that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s 2 : 17 PM on day 905 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Exodus 25,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands,  work, feed myself bread and baked beans for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean t-shirt on and  stretch my hamstrings.

Today I realized that I have this nasty habit of comparing my life with everybody else’s and thinking that their lives are better and more exciting than mine which is totally unfair on me because none of the people I compare myself with have had to overcome the challenges I’ve had to overcome so from today onwards I vow not to compare my life with anybody else’s.  Do you always compare yourself with other people and feel like you’re falling short?
