Life is not about being perfect and doing everything perfectly it’s about waking up every day and doing your best – that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 2 : 19 PM on day 794 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands, stretch my hamstrings, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscle and watch TV.
Today I wanted to do something that my mom usually does for me so I asked her if I could, she said yes (I know it was hard for her I’m so proud of her) and I went ahead and did it I didn’t do it perfectly but I did my very best that I think is the biggest lesson that Cerebral Palsy has taught me you don’t have to be perfect and do everything perfectly to be happy as long as you do your best every day you’ll get where you want to be eventually. Do you wake up every day and do your best?
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
