Day 769

If you really want to do something don’t let anything stand in your way – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 6 : 69 PM on day 769 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to stretch my hamstrings, brush my teeth, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature, make sandwiches on  behalf of Virginia’s Sandwich Run – I haven’t done it in a while because stuff always came up but today I finally had the opportunity I made ten sandwiches (with my mom’s help) if at least one person goes to bed with a full stomach I will have done my job I’m not telling you all this so that you’ll think highly of me I’m telling you all this hoping that you will be inspired to make a difference I’m in a wheelchair  for Heaven sake if I can feed the hungry imagine what you can do 🙂 –   feed myself rice and curry for lunch, listen to music – I really like Faith to Fall Back On by Hunter Hayes the lyrics are awesome when all you got left is being strong gotta find a little faith to fall back on – and spend time with visitors.

Today I wanted to make sandwiches for our housekeeper’s neighbourhood but before I could do that I needed someone to get me a tray, a loaf of bread and a brick of margarine so I asked my mom and she said as nicely as she could things are busy at the moment can’t we do it next week to which I said all you need to do is get me a tray, a loaf of bread and margarine and I’ll do the rest after minutes of pleading she got me everything I needed I was so frustrated with God everybody else had the ability to make sandwiches and help people but they chose not to whereas I had the will but had to struggle to do everything it was just so unfair oh well I’m going to do everything I can to help people no matter how hard it is for me. Do you let obstacles get in the way of you and what you want to do?
