Day 339

Some lessons need to be reinforced – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 7: 08 PM on day 339 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself an avocado sandwich for breakfast, tweet about my Clean Water For All Campaign – no luck – compile a post for Youth Voices–a section of NorthFork Collective Voices headed by my friend, Mark McKinney –prepare my Kid of the Week feature for Sunday– this week’s Kid of the Week and I have something in common…she’s South African – visit my two of my favorite blogs–Jude: The diary of a baby and a stroke and Bird on the Street –edit the header and About page off this blog– I felt like the default header was totally unrelated to this blog unlike the current header what do you think? –   feed myself stir-fry for lunch,  watch TV, feed myself pasta and chicken for dinner and brush my teeth once more.

Today while I was in the bathroom I heard my father talking to my sister about school and what was going on and I found myself being very sad – most of the time when we talk he’s like yes Nisha what do you need almost like I’m a nuisance or something – which I found a little strange considering the fact that I thought I had accepted myself enough to be okay with the fact that my family would never love me the way I want them to I guess it just goes to show that all the things you need in life e.g. self-acceptance, self-love need to be worked at every day. Are you the kind of person who needs to learn something more than once to get it through your thick skull?

Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360

If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu

Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.

Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
