Life is all about momentum – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 02 PM on day 2927 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spend time outside and read a Bible verse and do some work

Last Monday I set some goals and today I will again be evaluating myself to measure my progress and I’ll be setting some goals for the coming week as well. Take a look:

Day 2926: Be kind TODAY Don’t Delay!

You can never do an act of kindness too early for you never know when it might be too late– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 1 : 08 PM on day 2926 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,   read a Bible verse and do some work

Yesterday I was actually considering postponing doing an act of kindness until my Alive Day – the 22nd of every month is the anniversary of the contracture surgery I had in February 2018 I call it my Alive Day – but then I realized I’m alive today, today is also my Alive Day. Be kind TODAY don’t delay!

Day 2925: You Don’t Have to be Bill Gates To BE THE DIFFERENCE

The middle class is perfectly positioned to be the bridge between wealth and poverty – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 4: 20 PM on day 2925 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, ,  read a Bible verse, do some work and spent time outside

Today somebody said to me you’re not Bill Gates you can’t give so much but I don’t think you need to be Bill Gates to be the difference quite the contrary actually it’s the people with a lot of heart and not as many resources who move the world in the right direction every day. Do what you can where you are the time is always ripe to do right!

Day 2924: Be Audacious

Be audacious – that’s my message to the world

It’s 1 : 48 PM on day 2924 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spent time outside,  read a Bible verse and do some work

Recently I realized that there’s something to be said for being audacious there’s something to be said for believing you can fly when you can’t walk, there’s something to be said for believing you can make a difference even when you yourself need help almost every moment…there’s something to be said for daring to believe you can be more than the world thinks you are.

Day 2923: Do Something Good Today

The world won’t change overnight but small steps take in the right direction over time make an enormous impact – that’s my message to the world

It’s 2 : 45 PM on day 2923 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spent time outside,  read a Bible verse and do some work

Today in more ways than one I was reminded that it is our responsibility both as individuals and as a collective to take steps every day to create the kind of world we want to live in. Do something, small or big, to make the world a better place today

Day 2922: Small Acts + Good Intent = Extraordinary Impact

Sometimes it’s the smallest things that take up the most space in your heart – that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 12 : 08 PM on day 2922 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spent time outside,  read a Bible verse and do some work

Today I woke up to read the sweetest message from a friend I’m sure it didn’t cost her anything but it is something I will treasure forever. Let’s all be kind to one another it’s free and it feels oh so good.

“Death is inevitable, living a life you are proud of is something you can control” – Claire Wineland

It’s 11 : 46 AM on day 2921 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spent time outside,  read a Bible verse and do some work

A few days ago I found out that Motivational Speaker and YouTuber Claire Wineland died after undergoing a lung transplant (she needed a lung transplant because she had Cystic Fibrosis)  I am so sad but the essence of Claire’s story is not that she died but rather that she lived fully in the face of impending death – a lesson to us all: Don’t wait for things to be perfect to be happy be happy right now. My deepest condolences to Claire’s entire family.

There’s beauty in every day– that’s what I keep realizing

Highlights of the Week

  • Spending time outside even though it was cold – everybody was so convinced I would get sick but I chose the possibility of seeing something wonderful over the fear of getting sick (and I didn’t get sick – very grateful)
  • Seeing Baby R extending his bowl of chips to everybody at the prayer – we were at an Orthodox prayer and while the Fr. was leading the prayer his young son – less than 2- was going up to everyone extending his bowl of chips in case anybody was hungry. I had to decline but that touched my heart so – kids always make me cry for the best reasons
  • Partaking in Holy Communion – for me it’s not just an empty act after I receive the Holy Eucharist I tell myself you are now wiped clean please stay that way for as long as possible of course I never do I’m only human I curse, I lie to spare people’s feelings but the intention to be pure is definitely there
  • Talking to my cousin – she lives in Canada now with her husband and their twins so we don’t see other often but it was nice calling her on her birthday I’m happy she’s happy [note to self: call family even on non-special occasions]
  • Talking to a friend (also on her birthday the birthday calls seem to be my theme)

I, I believe you and me are sisters and brothers
