Day 3211: Offer People Peace

“Our duty as Christians is to offer peace to everyone we meet what they do with that peace is none of our business.” – Fr. Stanly James

It’s 8 :10 PM on day 3211 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read Bible, go to church and work on my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water  –  we’ve now raised $3 776 of $28 000 with 85 days to go

Today the topic of offering people peace was discussed in church during which Fr. James said our duty as Christians is to offer peace to everyone we meet what they do with that peace is none of our business I found that be such an important point because so often we hold back from giving so much because we worry how what we offer will be received but we needn’t be because as the Friar said how people respond to our offer of peace is none of our business our duty is to merely offer it.

When time doesn’t fly

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone– that’s what I’ve realized

LaMer Celebrates #WorldOceansDay with the #LaMerBlueHeart Campaign

“The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all shackles. No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can’t.” ― Christopher Paolini

Today is World Oceans Day and in celebration of that the La Mer team and volunteers cleaned up Muizenburg Beach as part of the LaMerBlueHeart campaign. Each year, the La Mer team members (and volunteers) around the world lead an effort to clean their local shores and beaches. In the journey to protect the living connection we all have to the ocean, we know that even small acts of participation can make a huge impact. Thank you La Mer for taking care of more than just our skin – I LOVE brands that care. To find out more about La Mer’s passion for ocean conservation visit https://www.cremedelamer.com/blue-heart

Restore Trust Music Fest

Spend your tune wisely you’ll never get it back– that’s my message to the world.

Yesterday I had the honour of spending my afternoon and evening with my Restore Trust family as they celebrated 10 YEARS of making a difference in the lives of vulnerable babies. I LOVED THE MUSIC but more than the music my eyes followed Michelle across the venue – the whole time thinking “How can someone be so normal and so extraordinary at the same time?” (the Michelle I’m used to teaches me interesting baby facts and plays on the floor with babies but yesterday I realized Michelle can do whatever is required of her – even Matthew Mole can’t hold my attention when Michelle Rielly is present. Michelle you were extra-incredible last night I LOVE YOU )  http://www.restoretrust.co.za/projects/breath-of-life/
