Give yourself what you wish you got from other people – that’s my message to the world

Today I understand that nobody will be able to fill me up from the outside because that truly is an inside job

Today marks one month since my physiotherapist Gerda’s death time has moved both quickly and slowly at the same and her absence is a void in my universe that will never be filled

However you feel is ok– that’s what I have realized

Today I am having an off-day for no  particular reason and I’ve just decided to go with it

Nothing worth having comes easily– that’s what I have realized

Today life  reminded me that nothing worth having comes easily I’m willing to work for the world I want to live in

I managed to pray, read Bible,   and work on my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water  –we’ve now raised $3 942 of $28 000 with 52 days to go

Today is Women’s Day here in South Africa – a day that commemorates the 1956 march of approximately 20 000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country’s pass laws – and today I celebrate all those 20 000 women as well as all the women who’ve made me, me

My first duty is to my humanity – that’s what I have realized

Today I got into it with my elders who were being, in my opinion, very unkind and when I told them so they tried to use the ten commandments to get me off their case but I stood my ground and I’m so proud I did, proud that that I honoured my duty to my humanity  

Balance is required – that’s what I keep realizing

Today I realized life is more than work so I’m going to take a break and do normal things tonight

May the days of our deaths never eclipse the days of our lives– that’s my hope for the world

Today I realized that all of us will die one day but the one day we die will be just that one day may we live so well that all the people will be focused on all the days we lived rather than just the one day we died

If it doesn’t hurt anyone do what you want– that’s my message to the world

Today as I enjoying Fish Finger Sandwiches I was embarrassed to be an adult eating Fish Finger Sandwiches but I figured life is short I feel like Fish Fingers if it hurts nobody do what you want not what’s age-appropriate.    

Life can change in an instant  – that’s what I’ve realized

Yesterday started out so beautifully but ended so very tragically I’m still speechless and lost for words…truly shocking I have cried before but never ever like this never from the depths of my soul EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED
