We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give. ~ Sir Winston Churchill
It’s 7 : 42 PM on day 844 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to stretch my hamstrings, brush my teeth, publish my Disability of the Day feature, take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean one on, practice typing with both hands, feed myself an apple for breakfast, practice typing with both hands, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself rice and curry for lunch and watch TV.
Last night I was feeling stagnant like everybody was making progress [in life] except me in that moment I remembered the research I did on fruit tree donation through WorldVision and decided to start a campaign in honour of my upcoming 22nd birthday unfortunately I fell asleep before I could work out the details of my campaign but today 10 For 22 came to me – the idea behind 10 For 22 is to get 22 people to donate 10 fruit trees each though WorldVision before my 22nd birthday on 25 March 2013 – if you want to give me an early birthday present donate 10 fruit trees which costs $60 and tell me you did via Twitter, Facebook or email (Note: If you inform me of your donation via Twitter use #10for22).
(Update: As far as I know 3 people donated 10 fruit trees each).
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
