Day 1947: I Believe in Me

“Believe in yourself when nobody else does.” – Mary J. Blige

It’s 12: 20 PM on day 1947 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 2 Corinthians 13,  learn one new thing –The first typewriter to be commercially successful was invented in 1868 by Americans Christopher Latham Sholes, Carlos Glidden and Samuel W. Soule in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, although Sholes soon disowned the machine and refused to use, or even to recommend it.– have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign – yesterday Madalyn Sklar donated $10  (thanks so much Madalyn your support means the world to me :) ) which brings my total raised to $715 only $5 535 more to raise in 362 days (SO GRATEFUL :) ).  A HUGE to my friend,  Pamela Eapen,  for creating new Twitter header photos and  Facebook cover photos for this campaign for everyone to use (if you would like to change your Twitter header photo or Facebook cover photo in support of this campaign get in touch with me in the comment section below and I’ll gladly send the images to you).

This morning my mom and I were talking about self-belief and how everybody just needs one person to believe in them to which she said I believe in you and I responded I already have one person, me – I believe in me which is true not in an arrogant sense but in the sense that when the chips are down I really believe I can pull through even if it’s at the last minute.

Day 1058: Never Say Die

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. – Calvin Coolidge

It’s 12  : 03 PM on day 1058 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to   brush my teeth,  feed myself  All Bran Flakes for breakfast,   pray, read Judges 17,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,   tweet and Facebook about my campaign –  I did the best I could to inform people about human trafficking and slavery with two antibiotics in my system I hate being on drugs I feel like so dull  and to think all this could have been avoided if I just covered up my wound learn from my mistake never leave a wound open it will cause more trouble than it’s worth.

As of today I only have 70 days to raise $250 more to reach my goal of raising $1000 for the Not For Sale Campaign I may reach my goal with minutes to spare or I may reach it in the next two days but rest assured I will reach it I may not be the smartest or most eloquent person you will ever meet but I work hard for as long as it takes to achieve my goals and perhaps because of that I almost always end up reaching my goals I believe that to succeed in life you have to have a never-say-die attitude you have to basically believe you’ll succeed even when it looks like you’re going to fail. Are you where you are in life because you just refused to quit on anything you did?
