Day 1570: 2014 To-Do List Reviewed

You need to celebrate all that you’ve accomplished while keeping in mind that there’s a lot still to be accomplished   – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 10 PM on day 1570 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 55, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself egg with bread and a banana  for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign– still on $1 315 but I’m grateful 🙂 .

Yesterday I took a look at my 2014 to-do list and crossed a few goals off. Take a look:

2014 To-Do List Reviewed

  2. Be more respectful of and honest with everybody [goal status: achieved I think – I tried to be respectful of and honest with everybody this year]

  10. Continue trying to finish reading The Bible [goal status: achieved – I’m on Isaiah 55 right now]
  11. Read 52 good books [goal status: semi-achieved – looking back I realize setting a goal to read 52 books this year was a bit over ambitious in the end I managed to read 8+ books this year]
  12. Be open to new sights, sounds, tastes and experiences [goal status: achieved – I had a Red Velvet cupcake for the first time this year]

Day 1565: Gone Girl Review

“Men actually think this girl exists. Maybe they’re fooled because so many women are willing to pretend to be this girl. For a long time Cool Girl offended me. I used to see men — friends, coworkers, strangers — giddy over these awful pretender women, and I’d want to sit these men down and calmly say: You are not dating a woman, you are dating a woman who has watched too many movies written by socially awkward men who’d like to believe that this kind of woman exists and might kiss them. I’d want to grab the poor guy by his lapels or messenger bag and say: The bitch doesn’t really love chili dogs that much — no one loves chili dogs that much! And the Cool Girls are even more pathetic: They’re not even pretending to be the woman they want to be, they’re pretending to be the woman a man wants them to be. Oh, and if you’re not a Cool Girl, I beg you not to believe that your man doesn’t want the Cool Girl. It may be a slightly different version — maybe he’s a vegetarian, so Cool Girl loves seitan and is great with dogs; or maybe he’s a hipster artist, so Cool Girl is a tattooed, bespectacled nerd who loves comics. There are variations to the window dressing, but believe me, he wants Cool Girl, who is basically the girl who likes every fucking thing he likes and doesn’t ever complain.” – Gillian Schieber Flynn, Gone Girl

It’s 11 : 03 AM on day 1565 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth,  read Isaiah 50,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself  for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign–my parents donated $10 yesterday (thanks mom and dad) which brings my total raised to $1 265  only $1 235 more to raise to reach goal :)

Recently I watched Gone Girl the movie is about a scorned woman who tries to frame her cheating husband for her murder I would give it a 9 out of 10 it’s a bit graphic but I would recommend it to everyone over the age of 16.

Day 1558: Mockingjay Part 1 Review

“I have a message for President Snow: You can torture or bombed us, blasted our district to the grounds. But do you see that ? Fire Is Catching… If we burn, you burn with us!” – Katniss Everdeen, Mockingjay Part 1

It’s 12 : 03 PM on day 1558 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth,  read Isaiah 43,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast and  promote my Educate Generations campaign– still on $1 190  I know God will answer my prayers when he has a free moment he’s just busy what with children being killed and people being taken hostage I am willing to wait I know that the world doesn’t revolve around me and my “problems”.

A couple of days ago I watched Mockingjay Part 1 the movie started with Katniss after she was rescued from the second Hunger Games and ended shorty after President Snow attacked District 13 I know this movie is fictional but there are aspects of it that reflect reality President Snow reminded me of the terrorists of the world and Katniss Everdeen reminded me of people who stand up against injustice in all its forms all in all it was a good movie I enjoyed it.
