Day 1220: My philosophy for a happy life: Sam Berns at TEDxMidAtlantic 2013

“Be OK with what you ultimately can’t do, because there is so much you CAN do.” – Sam Berns, My philosophy for a happy life: Sam Berns at TEDxMidAtlantic 2013

It’s 12  : 27 PM on day 1220 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  read 2 Chronicles 23,  feed myself egg with bread for breakfast,  publish my Disability of the Day feature and promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – my mom donated $27 yesterday (thanks again mom) having raised funds many times before I know what to expect so this time I won’t be hurt when people ignore my emails and messages I’ll just keep going and going and going until I reach my goal besides God is with me I cannot fail He won’t let me 🙂

This morning I watched My philosophy for a happy life: Sam Berns at TEDxMidAtlantic 2013 – a Ted Talk detailing the three things all of us need to do to be happy by Sam Berns who died from Progeria, a rare genetic disease that causes premature aging, a few days ago – even though I don’t have Progeria I could relate to what he said about focusing on all the good things in your life I am not happy because my life is perfect I am happy because I see life through the lens of  gratitude.
