When you fail to plan you plan to fail – that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 8 : 14 PM on day 841 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself a chicken and mayo sandwich for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature, hang out with family, feed myself rice and curry for lunch, hang out with family some more and go drop my cousin off at the airport.
To mark the beginning of 2013 I’m going to share with you all the things I want to do this year. Take a look:
2013 To-Do List
- Stop arguing with my parents, my dad especially – it seems like my dad turns everything positive I do into a negative yesterday he told my aunts Nisha bought toys for the kids in our housekeeper’s neighbourhood and made it sound like a bad thing I got defensive and started arguing with him this year I’m going to try not to take the bait
- Start supporting myself financially through this blog – my parents don’t mind supporting me in fact they don’t expect me to support myself but I want to pull my own weight in this world
- Continue to make sandwiches for our housekeeper’s neighbourhood as part of Virginia’s Sandwich Run
- Learn to fully undress and redress myself
- Plant 22 trees through Plant For The Plant – I am going to ask 22 people to plant 1 tree each in honour of my 22nd birthday
- Learn to help myself in the bathroom properly
- Raise money to stop child slavery
- Donate to and raise money for AIDS research
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
