Day 1581: “I Lived” by One Republic

Hope that you spend your days

But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup

I wish that I could witness
All your joy and all your pain
But until my moment comes
I’ll say…

I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived

– One Republic, “I Lived”

It’s 1 : 47 PM on day 1581 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 64, feed myself oats for breakfast, publish Friday’s and Saturday’s blog posts,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature,   promote my Educate Generations campaign–  on $1 335  – learn one new thing – did you know that a giraffe’s neck is too short to reach the ground. As a result, it has to awkwardly spread its front legs or kneel to reach the ground for a drink of water – and continue promoting my campaign – still on $1 335 but I’m grateful.

A few days ago on our journey to Cape Town I heard “I Lived” by One Republic and I instantly  fell in love with it  it describes exactly how I want to live. Listen to “I Lived” by One Republic  below:
