Day 1532: The best reaction is non-reaction?

“Don’t talk too much, for it fosters sin. Be sensible and turn off the flow!” – Proverbs 10:19

It’s 11 : 24 AM on day 1532 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isaiah 19, publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature, feed myself bran flakes with milk and banana for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign –still on $850.

This morning I realized that the best way to deal with people who try to get a rise out of you is to not react if you don’t react then people will stop trying to get a reaction out of you.

Day 1050: Saying a lot with silence

Sometimes your silence can say more than your words ever could – that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s 11 : 41 AM on day 1050 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, try to clean myself in the bathroom, pray, read Judges 9, feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature, tweet and Facebook about my campaign – still working hard to raise the $250 more I need to reach my goal and some people say all I do is eat and go to the bathroom. Ha! – and practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles.

This morning someone said something really hurtful to me and I just sat there silently listening when you know the truth about yourself you don’t feel the need to react to what people say about you. Have there been times in your life when you’ve said a lot without saying anything at all?
