Day 1435: The Best of the Ice Bucket Challenge

Fun, creative and purpose-driven ideas cannot fail – that’s what I learned this morning.

It’s 12  : 39  PM on day 1435 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, go back to sleep, watch TV, stretch my hamstrings,  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, pray, read Psalm 123,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana  for breakfast and read some business news – i’ve recently become interested in business being self-employed is perfect for me I can work from home and and I don’t have to answer to anyone.

This morning I heard about the Ice Bucket Challenge – a challenge in which people are challenged by their friends to dump a bucket of ice water over their heads and donate $10 within 24 hours, or donate $100 to the fight against ALS – what I love about this challenge is that it’s fun, creative and purpose-driven.
