Day 2337: 6 Years of Gratitude Journaling

“Journal writing is a voyage to the interior.” ― Christina Baldwin

It’s 10: 08 AM on day 2337 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read  Psalm 37: 37, have breakfast and learn a new word – Sycophant; Sycophantic [sy·co·phan·tic] Attempting to win favor from influential people by flattery; A servile self-seeking flatterer. “There was sycophantic laughter from the audience at their bosses jokes.”

Yesterday I was skimming through all the gratitude journals I’ve kept from 2011 to 2016 it was wonderful to see that even in the worst of times I found something to be grateful for I don’t think I would be where I am today (not that I think I’m anywhere in particular but I have a lot that I’ve earned the right to be proud of) if I wasn’t just as grateful back then. I know I sound like a broken record but I’ll say it again because it has done wonders for my life be grateful.
