It’s 12  : 04 PM on day 1351 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Psalm 38,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself  bran flakes  for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings, spend time outside and promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on 80% (God help me).

A few months ago I came across An Inspiring Waitress Gets an Amazing Surprise – a story of a waitress who paid for the lunches of two people in the national guard when she found out that they weren’t getting paid due to the government shutdown – watching that reminds me that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
