Day 1144: CinemAbility Official Trailer

Contrary to my belief there are a lot of people trying to change the way differently-abled people are perceived – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 12 PM on day 1144 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth,  feed myself boiled egg and  Bran Flakes for breakfast, edit my brother’s Life Orientation project on drug and alcohol abuse – no wonder kids today are so stressed there’s so much work to do in a short space of time –     read 2 Kings 2,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and  stretch my hamstrings.

A couple of days ago I wrote Day 1137: My call for positive movies about “disability” and in response to that Juliet over at From A Parrot’s Nest sent me a link to CinemAbility, a star studded documentary exploring the evolution of disability portrayals in film and television, I am SO excited that a documentary like this even exists.
