We live in a very apathetic society – that’s what I keep learning 🙁

It’s  3  : 12 PM on day 953 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, stretch my hamstrings,    practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself a boiled eggs and a pear for breakfast,  pray, read Numbers 6, publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands, tweet and Facebook about my campaign – still on 6% with 83 days to go – and take off my dirty t-shirt and put on a clean one.

Today tweeting and Facebooking about my anti-slavery campaign I felt like all people cared about were their family, their friends, their jobs, their mortgages and their bills which begs the question if we only care about ourselves and our loved ones what happens to the people in the world who have no one. Are you apathetic about the world’s problems because you have too many problems of your own?
