Everybody is here to change the world in their own way – that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 3 : 36 PM on day 911 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to stretch my hamstrings,take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean t-shirt on, brush my teeth, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, feed myself All Bran Flakes with soy milk for breakfast, pray, read Exodus 31, publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands, work, and feed myself a baked beans sandwich and a banana for lunch and watch TV.
A couple of weeks ago I stumbled on to Amanda JourneyWithCP – a YouTube channel created by Amanda who happens to have Cerebral Palsy – I could really relate to what Amanda goes through from having to deal with ignorant people to mobility issues we’ve been through it all and whether Amanda knows it or not she is doing through her vlog what I aim to do through this blog – educate the world about Cerebral Palsy and show people that we are all more alike than we are different.
