Day 3009: Trevor (@TrevorNoah) Chats with His Grandma About Apartheid and Tours Her Home

“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots. “ – Marcus Garvey

It’s 12: 26  PM on day 3009 since i started blogging and I managed to pray and do some work

Recently I watched a conversation that Trevor Noah had with his Grandma  Koko it was funny, heartwarming and it reminded me how lucky I am to live in post-apartheid South Africa. Watch “Trevor Chats with His Grandma About Apartheid and Tours Her Home, “MTV Cribs”-Style”below:

Day 3007: The Most Important Things

The most important things are not things – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 11: 27 AM on day 3007 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray and do some work

This festive season let’s be grateful for gifts that cannot be wrapped I’m grateful for God, health, family and friends. I learned this year that some people I would give my life for forget about me when I’m out of sight so my focus is on people who stayed when my life was painful

Day 2985: Ask the Important Questions

The toughest questions are the ones that you most need to ask– that’s my message the world

It’s 4: 54 PM on day 2985 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray read a Bible verse, spend time with family , spend time outside    and do some work

Today I was reminded that the toughest questions are the ones that you most need to ask I often use social media to voice my opinions and ask important questions of South African politicians I know that my questions probably won’t get answered but if I don’t use my voice I know I will regret it so I choose to ask them.

Day 2976: Self-Discipline – A Cornerstone of Life

Self-discipline is the cornerstone of every life – that’s what I’ve been reminded of.

It’s 1: 45 PM on day 2976 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work

Today life reminded me that self-discipline is the cornerstone of every life if one cannot keep one’s own rules than  what hope do we have of following someone else’s rules and keeping promises made.

Day 2966: The Fragility of Life

Life is fragile appreciate the people in your life– that’s my massage to the world.

It’s 11 : 52 AM on day 2966 of my journey towards independence and I managed to  spend time outside, read a Bible verse  and do some work

This morning I heard some news which reminded me of the fragility of life we should all hug more and stay on the phone longer with people we love seriously the items on our to-do lists will always be there the people we love may not be.
