My life is a miracle – that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 1 : 08 PM on day 789 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself an egg sandwich for breakfast, listen to music – I love Whispers by Anna Graceman I can really relate to the lyrics – stretch my hamstrings, make sandwiches as part of Virginia’s Sandwich Run – we (our housekeeper and I) made ten sandwiches in total I had a really hard time using the knife but what I lack in ability I make up for in perseverance and it helped knowing that what I was doing would help other people – and spend time outside – I love watching birds fly and imagining where they will end up 🙂
This morning as I was talking to our housekeeper in her native tongue of Xhosa it dawned on me how much of a miracle my life was most people who have Cerebral Palsy have some sort of speech impairment and here I was able to speak not one not two but three languages fluently (I can speak English, Xhosa and Malayalam). Do you see the miracles in your life?
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
