Day 716

The older you get the less you need to be told what to do – that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s 3 : 32 PM on day 716 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature,  work,    feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, drink coffee by myself, exercise my right hand, watch TV and  feed myself pasta for lunch.

Today I was doing something and suddenly all the times my mom and physiotherapist nagged me to exercise started playing in my head like a movie (I have to exercise every day to keep my hamstrings stretched otherwise I will have to have surgery) I couldn’t help smiling because somewhere along the way I realized whether I did or didn’t exercise the only person it would affect was me and started exercising not for my mom or my physiotherapist but for myself.     Do you still need to be told what to do even though you’re not a kid anymore?

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
