Day 710

There are more good people in the world than bad– that’s what I keep learning 🙂

t’s 6 : 07 PM on day 710 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,   drink coffee by myself, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, work, exercise my hands,  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, watch TV, brush my teeth once more to see if I could do it when my mother wasn’t around- I ended up just spitting toothpaste all over  myself oh well I’ll try again tomorrow 🙂 – and feed myself rice and curry for lunch.

Today I came across Rita and McKenzie’s story – Rita worked for McKenzie’s family when McKenzie was 4 (she’s now 10) she was basically an extra pair of hands for McKenzie and her parents (Mackenzie needs a helper because she has cerebral palsy) over the years McKenzie and Rita kept in touch and now Rita’s on a mission to get Taylor  Swift to read McKenzie’s letter –  reading this story made me think of all the Ritas in  my life who would do anything for me thank you for caring Rita you’re an awesome human being.  Do you believe that there are more good people  in the world than bad?

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.

Thank you so much for the kind words, and for spreading Mackenzie’s story! I’m going to share your blog with her and her mom – I think it will help Mackenzie see that she’s not alone and that people with CP can and DO accomplish great things. Thanks again!
