We don’t need as much as we think we do– that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 4 : 20 PM on day 639 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature work, rest while my brother was using the laptop – he was home sick from school – work some more and watch TV.
Last night laying in bed thinking about the majority of entries I make in my Gratitude Journal it occurred to me that I only value three things in life my health, my family and the opportunity I have every day to make a difference most people think they need TVs, laptops, Ipads and and and truth is, we don’t need any of these things if the laptop that I use stopped working tomorrow I would be angry that I was so careless with it but I wouldn’t be distraught because I know that the things that I use are not an extension of me some people don’t know where their cell phones are for a nanosecond and they totally freak out when I see that I just want to say calm down it’s just a cell phone you can get another one. Do you realize that we have more than we need?
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
I think need is relative. I also think in 100 years they will look back on us and thing we really “did without” a lot of things. That’s progress!
Yes, everyday Nisha, everyday.

True, I never thought of it like that thank you for giving me an opportunity to see things from a different point of view.
