Love and sacrifice are inseparable from each other – that’s what I realized yesterday.
It’s 11: 21 AM on day 2315 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, do my first ever Facebook Livestream – that was cool 🙂 – read Jeremiah 29: 11 and have breakfast.
Yesterday I realized that love and sacrifice are inseparable from each other sometimes the people we love make sacrifices for us that we will never know about because they don’t want us to feel like we are a burden to them (blessed are those who love us in ways we will never know).
Jeremiah 29: 11 is a wonderful promise.
“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
As the next verses explain, the promise of a future and hope will be made manifest by the believer’s prayers and search for God. It’s also interesting to consider that the promise is made to those who suffer in painful punishment for their rebellion against God. Our God forgives those who have done evil – if they will repent of their evil and seek Him with all of their heart.
