“Success is being world number one. I’m on the path to reaching it, and I know it is possible. I’m going to reach it soon.” – Lucas Sithole
It’s 12 : 45 PM on day 1840 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read John 6, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – wayworn 1.worn or wearied by travel– and promote my Educate Generations campaign – I wouldn’t mention this but since I mention every other donation I feel like I should mention this one and besides it could inspire someone to give I donated $7 with my mom’s card (mom I swear I will pay you back before the end of the week I know you don’t care whether I do or not but I care it’s sort of a pride thing) [I can’t make online payments using my card so every time I need to make a payment I use my mom or dad’s credit card I always intend to pay them back but they say it’s not necessary or time passes and I forget but this time i’m determined to pay back the money (President Zuma are you listening? Me thinks you should do the same LOL 🙂 ) I can’t control whether other people help me or not but I can back myself and support the causes I believe in.
Yesterday I watched season 3 episode 4 of 21 Icons featuring Lucas Sithole, one of the best wheelchair tennis players in the world, I could relate to Lucas’s story I too wouldn’t be me without my wheelchair the chair itself does not (and WILL NEVER) define me but the perseverance and strength I have learned from being on this chair is what makes me who I am today.
