It’s 12  : 58  PM on day 1386 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  read Psalm 72,brush my teeth, feed myself  peanut butter sandwiches  for breakfast,  publish my Disablity of the Day feature, go pick out tiles – we’re in the midst of a kitchen makeover hope my mom doesn’t kill us when she gets back from India (she doesn’t know that we are renovating the kitchen) – and promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on $895.54 if any of you have cash to spare please donate it to my campaign at www.justgiving.com/Eradicate-AIDS/ the Elton John AIDS Foundation [uk] does great work.

Yesterday I watched TEDxIowaCity – Mike Berkson & Tim Wambach – Handicap This! – a Ted Talk about the beautiful friendship between Matt who has Cerebral Palsy and Tim, his aide – this talk really touched my heart because I, like Mike,  have people in my life who see me and not my disability and I know how important that is to the success of an individual with special needs.
