Unconditional love is loving someone for who they really are – that’s what the Whittington family taught me.

It’s 1  : 01 PM on day 1369 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Psalm 56,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself bread with egg  for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on $839.54 – and practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles.

Yesterday I came across the Whittington family’s story in 2007 the Whittington’s welcomed a baby girl into the world only as soon as their baby girl could talk she told them that she was a he so after many years and much research they decided to let their baby girl become a boy in every way possible I was blown away by the unconditional love that these parents had for their child.
