Everybody’s highest calling is to serve – that’s what I keep realizing.
It’s 12 : 30 PM on day 2025 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Revelation 2, have breakfast, learn one new thing – The tongue is a muscular organ in the mouth. The tongue is covered with moist, pink tissue called mucosa. Tiny bumps called papillae give the tongue its rough texture. Thousands of taste buds cover the surfaces of the papillae. – have breakfast and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – yesterday I donated $34 of my birthday money (in memory of my deceased grandparents, Joesph uncle, sisi Virginia and Graham Constantinides) which brings the total raised to raised $3 856 only $2 394 more to raise by 10 Jan 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).
Today I was thinking about life and it dawned on me that the happiest people in life serve every day whether it be through their work or in their spare time which is great because I think everybody’s highest calling is to serve how they serve depends entirely on their individual skills and talents but the fact remains everybody’s highest calling is to serve.
Revelations begins with Jesus’ special communication to the churches. To Christians. In the New Testament, we haven’t heard Jesus’ direct speech since the Gospels. I find that I need to remind myself that Jesus is speaking when I return to Revelations. Also, to remember that God blesses us in a special way when we read Revelations. Because He says he does.
In Revelations 2, Jesus is accusing Christians of their various failures. Obviously, the fanciful hope of “once saved, always saved” does not reflect Jesus’ threats to Christians. He gives us much cause to fear God. He promises to afflict and kill the unrepentant Christian and their children. These are hard things to contemplate.
Jesus also promises to reward those Christians who overcome tests, trials, errors, lies, and false teaching.
Have courage!
I will have courage 🙂
