Day 1939: Doing unto others

Sometimes people don’t do unto you as you do unto them– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 9:  35 AM on day 1939 of my journey towards independence prayed, read 2 Corinthians 5 and learned one new thing – Orcas, or killer whales, are the largest of the dolphins and one of the world’s most powerful predators. They feast on marine mammals such as seals, sea lions, and even whales, employing teeth that can be four inches (ten centimeters) long.

Today I realized that sometimes people don’t do unto you as you do unto them it’s sad and it hurts but that’s life I need to grow up and toughen up.

As an aspiring Christian, I have to offer now to you, dear Nisha, my humble opinion and Christian conviction that Jesus did not say things because he liked to hear himself.

Nor should we take his marching orders and commands and adjust them to fit our human culture, prejudice, pain, convenience, or pleasure. Jesus was not expressing an opinion.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life… [John 14:6]

Therefore, when Jesus tells us, “treat others the same way you want them to treat you,” [Luke 6:31], do what Jesus says without reluctance, hesitation, regret, doubt or question in every circumstance. You have been given a law that is good, true and beautiful; you have not been given interesting advice or opinion.

    God bless you, Nisha.

I can, however, offer some interesting advice that you are not generally required to search out and spend your hours and days with immoral, God-hating, demonized, abusive, or unkind people.
