“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” – Steve Jobs
It’s 12 : 18 PM on day 1771 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Matthew 3, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – .Rome was founded in 753 BC by Romulus. Roman legend says that Romulus had a twin brother called Remus. As babies they were abandoned in the area which later became Rome. A she-wolf found and raised them, but when they grew up Romulus fought and killed Remus and became the first ruler of Rome!– have breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – $3 372 raised so far (thanks so much to everyone who has supported this campaign so far I sincerely appreciate it 🙂 ).
Recently I watched the commencement speech that Steve Jobs gave at Stanford University and I’m so glad I did because it has profoundly changed the way I view life the lessons he shared in the speech are lessons I think we all need to learn. Watch Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech 2005 below:
As I reflect on Mr. Job’s speech, I am reminded of 2 Timothy 3:1-5 with special emphasis on verse 5.
1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, [a]haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
He gave great advice though 🙂
