Ordinary things can be made extraordinary if done with the right people – that’s what I realized today.
It’s 2 : 06 PM on day 1434 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, read Psalm 122, feed myself Puttu – a breakfast dish of steamed cylinders of ground rice layered with coconut – and a banana for breakfast, brush my teeth, hang out with family and continue reading The First Phone Call From Heaven by Mitch Albom.
This morning seeing my family laughing and reminiscing I felt so light and happy the little things that we miss are the big things in disguise.
