It’s 12 : 24  PM on day 1424 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Psalm 112,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself bran flakes with banana for breakfast,     practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and stretch my hamstrings .

Yesterday evening I watched “Simon Sinek: Why good leaders make you feel safe”  – a Ted Talk by Simon Sinek about why it’s essential to great leadership to make people feel safe – I found what Simon said in his talk to be so true when people who work with you don’t feel expendable they will work their butts off to make your vision a reality.
