Some people are there for you through thick and thin while others are just there for you when it’s convenient for them – that’s what I’ve realized as I’ve grown.

It’s 12  : 15 PM on day 1380 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Psalm 67,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself  bran flakes for breakfast,   promote Eradicate AIDS campaign – still at 88% – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and hang out with my sister.

This morning I was thinking about people and how hard it is to know who’s there for you and who’s not when I was younger I thought everybody who loved me would be there for me no matter what but as I’ve grown I’ve realized that some people are there for you through thick and thin while others are just there for you when it’s convenient for them. Have you, with age, learned to differentiate between those who are there for you and those who are just there?
