Day 1066: WWYD? – Disabled People Are Harassed By Obnoxious Customers!

You’re never as alone as you think you are– that’s what I keep learning 🙂

It’s 12  : 00 PM on day 1066 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, feed myself  Bran Flakes  for breakfast, read Ruth 4,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, tweet and Facebook about my campaign – still need $210 to reach goal I want to ask people I know in real life if they can make donations but if I do and they say thanks but no thanks or worse if they ignore me it will be really awkward when I bump into them somewhere   – take off my dirty jacket and top and put on a clean top and hoodie – it took me so much time and effort to do but that’s my life it takes me hours to do the most basic things I could cry about how hard my life is or I could suck it up and get on with it I choose to suck it up and get on with it 🙂 – stretch my hamstrings – I couldn’t exercise as much as I wanted to today my right knee hurt to the point that I was in tears it’s probably because I’ve only just recovered from a  foot infection.

Yesterday afternoon I watched WWYD? – Disabled People Are Harassed By Obnoxious Customers! – an episode of What Would You Do (a show that creates controversial scenarios to see what bystanders will do) in which a woman in a wheelchair was being harassed by a well-meaning customer – I could so relate to that situation people mean well but sometimes they see the wheelchair and become overly helpful when someone (whether they’re differently-abled or not) tells you they can do something believe them after all they know themselves better than you know them.   Watch WWYD? – Disabled People Are Harassed By Obnoxious Customers below:
