Day 900

Helping people without expecting anything in return is the most rewarding thing in life – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 6 : 12 PM on day 900 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to stretch my hamstrings, take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean t-shirt on, brush my teeth,  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  pray, read Exodus 20,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands,  feed myself baked beans and bread for breakfast,  make sandwiches as part of Virginia’s Sandwich Run with our housekeeper’s help,  watch TV and feed myself stir fry for lunch.

This afternoon we, our housekeeper and I,  spent some time making sandwiches for the kids in her neighbourhood according to her the parents of these kids drink away their paycheques as soon as they get it which means the kids who usually get food from school would go hungry on the weekends but for the sandwiches we make so I feel like what we’re doing is making a small difference I’m not telling you guys all this to be boastful I just want you guys to read everything I’m doing and say to yourselves if she can do all this sitting on a wheelchair imagine what I can do. Has giving without expecting anything in return made you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside?

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
