Day 593

It’s important to have a sense of humor in life – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 6: 03 PM on day 593 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself an egg sandwich for breakfast,  prepare my Kid of the Week feature for tomorrow, create and edit my Music page, feed myself Masala Dosa for lunch and finish  editing my Music page  – leave the name of your favorite song and the YouTube link to it in the Comment section of the Music page and I’ll post the video under Readers Choice.

A couple of weeks ago I read about Alice Pyne – a sixteen-year-old who created a bucket list after being diagnosed with cancer – and my life hasn’t been the same since what inspires me most about Alice is her sense of humor – follow her on Twitter @Alice_Pyne and you’ll see what I mean – whenever I feel like crying I think about Alice, her sense of humor, the fact that she lives every day to the fullest knowing how her story is  going to end and I realize I have nothing to cry  about (thank you Alice for being my biggest inspiration you rock). Do you laugh at most things in life?

So true. I realise I moan a lot about trivial little things – and that not taking myself so seriously and perhaps seeing the fun or funny in a situation might help me to deal. I read Alice’s blog, she’s an amazing young girl.

Also, you appear to be doing extremely well on your journey! Keep on doing that 🙂

Having a sense of humor helps with most things in life if Alice can laugh a her life then we sure as hell can laugh at ours 🙂
