Day 2483: The Ridiculous and Not-So-Ridiculous Things I Pray For

My life is really a tale of two-halves – that’s what I keep being reminded of.

It’s 12 : 27 PM on day 2483 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Psalm 119:45, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $1 400 only $11 100 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

This morning I was reminded that my life is really a tale of two-halves one minute I’m praying that God helps me find people who will be willing to help me heal kids with clubfoot and the next minute I’m praying (literally praying) to have a pain-free bowel movement (all the doctors in my life have tried to get me on laxatives but I don’t want to be dependent on it forevermore) it almost seems unfair that I’m the one trying so hard to make a difference some days I just want to punch a hole in the wall and cry a thousand tears but I choose to get up every day and try because i know that life is not a chore it’s a gift.

Day 2482: Be Mushy Sometimes

It’s okay to be mushy sometimes – that’s what I’m realizing.

It’s 2 : 28 PM on day 2482 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Isaiah 61:1, go visit people, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $1 400 only $11 100 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Recently I’ve realized it’s okay to be mushy sometimes I’m usually very measured in my expression of emotion but I’m beginning to understand that sometimes it’s okay to be a big bowl of mush because people need to know that I love and care about them.

Day 2480: Don’t pray your problems away

Some of your problems will not disappear with prayers because those problems are preparing you for a life better than you ever imagined – that’s what I want the world to know

Recently I was having a conversation with a few people about how sometimes we as people try to pray our problems away not knowing that those problems are preparing us for an extraordinary future it’s so true we can’t see into the future so we assume we will always see situations the way we see them in the present moment.

Day 2477: Assumptions and Life

Don’t assume everybody’s like you– that’s what I have learned.

Recently I realized that my flaw in all my relationships is that I assume everybody is like me so I going through life thinking everybody is honest, kind, generous and compassionate suffice to say I’m disappointed most of the time I have to train myself to assume most people are not like me.

The life I live is someone else’s dream– that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 11 : 03 AM on day 2474 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ephesians 5:25, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – between today and yesterday Anonymous 1 and Anonymous 2 donated $150 between them (thanks to them them both) which brings the total raised to $810 only $11 690 more to raise in 359 days to help 50 kids with clubfoot )won’t be easy but very doable with God in me) .

This morning our housekeeper described to me something horrible that happened to her friend’s son and she said her friend just laughed off the heinous abuse of her son in that moment I realized that although our housekeeper and I live in the same country we live in two different worlds she’s told me of gang rapes and other stuff I can neither unhear nor unimagine I’m surprised I sleep at all her stories are in my head and when I’m with her I’m acutely aware of my middle-class privilege I try not to feel guilty about it but it’s hard knowing that had I been born to different parents that would have been me.

Stay informed and get involved – that’s my message to the world

It’s 1 : 25 PM on day 2473 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Joshua 1: 9 have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Anonymous donated $250 yesterday (thanks to them him) which brings the total raised to $660 only $11 840 more to raise in 360 days to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Today was one of those days I couldn’t help noticing the evolution of my interests and my growth as a human being I now watch and read the news with interest as to what’s going on in the world I want to know all that’s wrong with the world so that although I didn’t create the world’s problems I can do my small part to fix them I can’t stick my had in the sand and pretend I live in a utopia it does not solve anything we must all face the world’s problems and strive every day both in small and big ways to become the solutions to those problems.

Full of annoyance or distress; harassed. 2. Causing or creating vexation; annoying. “Her ex-husband put her in a vexatious situation.” and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised $410 only $12 090 more to raise in 361 days to help 50 kids with clubfoot (it won’t be easy but we can do this i know it).

This morning I realized that although it’s great to have personal success it’s even greater to create and unlock opportunities for others to succeed I’m so happy to be the human ladder on which people climb to reach their dreams.

Day 2469: Humanity and Our Eventual Return to Love

All of us are made in love and eventually we return to love – that’s what I realized

It’s 1 : 07 PM on day 2469 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 6:21 have breakfast, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Priyachechi donated $25 yesterday and Anonymous donated $25 today (thanks to them both) which brings the total raised to $150 only $12 350 more to raise in 364 days to help 50 kids with clubfoot (it won’t be easy but we can do this i know it).

Recently I realized that all of us are made in love and eventually, no matter how distracted we get along the way, we return to love I think there comes a time in everybody life where we sort of realize money, power and fame are all nice to have but meaningless unless you use them to live in love and in service of others because in the end love is the only thing we can both leave behind and take with us.

Day 2466: When you share your struggle

When you share your struggle you also share your strength, courage and hope – that’s what I want the world to know.

It’s 10 : 34 AM on day 2466 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Malachi 3: 10 and learn a new word – Intrepid adj. 1. Resolutely courageous; fearless. Persistent in the pursuit of something. “A team of intrepid explorers.”

Yesterday I made a video and I’m choosing not to edit out the parts where I stuttered, forgot my words and moved awkwardly because I realize that when I share my struggle I also share my strength, courage and hope (there’s perfection in imperfection you just have to get your ego out of the way to see that with clarity).

Day 2463: Act Don’t React

Act from a place of love, compassion, kindness and generosity – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 56 PM on day 2463 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Isaiah 46:9 and learn a new word – Definitions for prelapsarian 1.
characteristic of or pertaining to any innocent or carefree period: a prelapsarian youth.
2. Theology. occurring before the Fall: the prelapsarian innocence of Eden.
3. supralapsarian.

Today I realized that in life to react is a very dangerous thing because often our reactions to that which has happen to us or that which has been done to us come from a place of hurt, fear or frustration so this morning I just woke up and decided that no matter how I am treated I’m going to act and feel from a place of love, compassion, kindness and generosity.
