Day 2121: Self-Conscious Me

The things we are self-conscious about are often not a big deal  – that’s what I realized recently.

It’s 12 : 15  PM on day 2121 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Galatians 5: 3 ,   learn one new thing – Each of us has 60 – 90 trillion cells so our DNA is very, very tiny when coiled up. If you could take it out of a cell and stretch it into a line, our DNA would be more than six feet long. That’s almost two meters.- have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 545 only  $5 955 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far : ) ) .

Recently I realized that the things we are self-conscious about are often not a big deal I used to worry about the clarity of my speech all the time but as it turns out it’s not as big of a deal as I thought it was.

Day 2120: Blended

Yesterday my sister and I watched Blended – a funny and heartwarming movie about the hardships of blending two families (starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore) – I really liked the movie it’s perfect on days when you just want to switch off your brain and escape into another world.

Day 2119: “Say” by John Mayer

Have no fear for giving in

Have no fear for giving over

You’d better know that in the end

It’s better to say too much

Than never to say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking

And your faith is broken

Even as the eyes are closing

Do it with a heart wide open (a wide heart)

– John Mayer, “Say”

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2119 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ephesians 3:12,   learn one new thing –Just as the tree of life illustrates, all organisms, both living and extinct, are related. Day 2117: Write Your Own Story

“Let go of perfection. Get messy, make as many mistakes as you can, help as many people as you can. Love more, hate less and let go of guilt & regret. Reverse engineer your life. By the time you leave this planet, what did you want to experience?

There is no life ahead of you, there’s only right now, you. The experience we are having right in this moment “IS” our life. The action we take or do not take right now IS our future. Pay attention & invest yourself fully in each moment…and it’s in these fully lived moments that we weave a truly extraordinary tapestry to clothe ourselves in old age and share with the world what a difference one life can make.”

Tamara McCleary

Day 2112: 25 Smiles Campaign Goal Surpassed Let’s Go For 50 Smiles

“Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”― Muhammad Ali
