Day 2775: Different Angles and Different Views

The things you look at every day may be the same but the angle from which you look at them changes everything– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 10 : 51 AM on day 2775 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 13,  have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –  raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

A few days ago I was outside and for the first few minutes I was in one spot and then a few minutes later I was moved strangely the tree I was looking at looked completely different from a different angle I guess it’s kind of like life situations look different depending on what you’re standing

Day 2774: Nyle DiMarco in Dan and Shay Music Video

Inclusion of differently-abled people is becoming a reality – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12: 25 PM on day 2774 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 12,  have breakfast, spend time outside – it’s a beautiful sunny day in my part of the world –  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –  raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

A few days ago I watched Dan and Shay’s “Tequila” music I liked the song but I loved even more that Dan AND Shay invited Nyle DiMarco  (a really accomplished guy who just happens to be deaf) to help tell the story of the beautiful song I thought it was awesome I seldom see differently-abled people in music   Well done Nyle, Dan, Shay and everybody involved in the making of this music video. Watch “Tequila” by Dan and Shay below:

Day 2773: Why I Believe both Well-Intentioned and Evil-Intentioned People Are Both Responsible for the Current State of the World

If it’s good do it and if it’s bad don’t do it– that’s I believe is one of the most important lessons the Bible tries to teach us.

It’s 9: 31 AM on day 2773 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 11  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –  raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Recently it occurred to me that most people with good intention are too busy thinking about things and praying about things (I have nothing against praying I pray A LOT but I don’t pray about whether I should do a good thing or not because I know if it’s good God wants me to do it) and not actually doing anything while the people with evil intentions are doing a lot and causing suffering in the process I wish well-intentioned people would have the courage to do more and evil-intentioned people the empathy to do less.

Day 2772: #50NewFeet Campaign Ten Months Later

“Every minute of every hour of every day you are making the world, just as you are making yourself, and you might as well do it with generosity and kindness and style.” – Rebecca Solnit

It’s 12 : 36 PM on day 2772 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Proverbs 10 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Today marks the ten month anniversary of my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet  so far 122 people have made donations to this campaign and between us we’ve donated $14  409 – enough to provide clubfoot treatments for 57  kids (only $4 341 more to raise to reach my second goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17th  2018)– I am SO THANKFUL AND AMAZED. Day 2771: Always Be Grateful and Seldom Be Wasteful

Everything I’ve seen affects the way I live– that’s what I was reminded of today

It’s 11: 27 AM on day 2771 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 9,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Anonymous who donated $100 which brings the total raised to  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

This morning as I struggled to finish my breakfast I remembered my brief time in the township (shanty town) and seeing how the majority in my country live and I found myself trying to finish my plate (the things I have seen and the experiences I’ve had have taught me to always be grateful and seldom be wasteful).

Day 2770: Use ALL of who you are

Nobody is me and that is my power – that’s what I was reminded of today.

It’s 1: 24 PM on day 2770 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 8,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to everyone who made donations in honour of my niece Maya’s first birthday $625 was added to the total (since the writing of yesterday’s post which brings the total raised to  $14 309 only $4 441 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Today I sort of lost the plot and started focusing on everybody else until life not-so-subtly reminded me that nobody is me and that is my power (others have things that I don’t have but I also have things that they don’t have) I’m going to focus and use all of who I am to make my mark on the world.

Day 2769: To Be Devine and To Err

Try to be divine more than you err – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 11: 40 AM on day 2769 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Acts 2: 32-33,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Jackie & Ajay who donated $100 which brings the total raised to  $13 684 only $5 066 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

This morning I was thinking about all the greats of history and it occurred to me that though all made mistakes they all did more good than bad and I hope to follow in their footsteps and be divine more times more than I err.

Day 2768: Be Obsessed or Be Average by Grant Cardone

The next time someone starts labeling your obsession an illness, tell them, “I’m not afflicted, I’m gifted.” – Grant Cardone

It’s 1: 10 PM on day 2768 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Proverbs 6 promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –raised  $13 584 only $5 166 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018

Recently I finished reading Be Obsessed or Be Average by Grant Cardone the book is counterintuitive in that it sort of tells you that everything you’ve taught about achievement is wrong the world says slow down take a vacation while Grant says go all-in to achieve your goals be obsessed  I LOVE the book because for the first time ever I feel like the fact that I’m obsessed with my goals is not something I should try to change. I am obsessed and I refuse to be average #BeObsessed .

Day 2767: Western Saharan refugee women use film in liberation struggle

“Better to die fighting for freedom then be a prisoner all the days of your life.” ― Bob Marley

It’s 2: 28 PM on day 2767 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Proverbs 5, promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –raised  $13 584 only $5 166 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018 – participate in the Global Social Media Conference for International Solidarity (organized by the Norwegian government )- I learned so much (we need to do away with otherism  because truly we are only human together).

Recently I watched a short documentary about the Western Sahara, the last colony in Africa, that I think everybody should see the struggle of the Saharawi people continues to move me. Watch “Western Saharan refugee women use film in liberation struggle” below:

Day 2766: “Future Me” by Echosmith

Right now, I’m already who I wanna be tomorrow
Who I wanna be tomorrow is who I am
Right now, I’m already who I wanna be tomorrow
Who I wanna be tomorrow is who I am

Echosmith, “Future Me”

It’s 12: 22 PM on day 2766 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Proverbs 4 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Tinuchechi, Jerynchachen and Mayakutty who donated $250 (in honour of Maya’s upcoming 1st birthday – aunty Nisha feels ancient LOL) – which brings the total raised to  $13 584 only $5 166 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018 – and have lunch.

A few weeks ago I heard “Future Me” by Echosmith it was just before my surgery so I didn’t like listening to the song because despite my faith I wasn’t totally sure that would be a future me but now I actually love the song. Listen to “Future Me” by Echosmith below:
