My Secret Birthday Wish That Came True Early

“The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it.” – Hubert H. Humphrey

Two days ago My Superhero Catherine Constantinides came to my city (for work purposes) I was  overjoyed it was like God has conspired to make my one and only secret birthday wish come true. She brought many great gifts and I TRULY TRULY TRULY LOVE AND APPRECIATE THEM ALL but to me SHE was, is and forever will be the gift – all I’ve ever wanted was my Superhero.
If the first picture had a title I would title it “I Should Be Looking At You Like That”

Don’t wait to be happy just be– that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 05 PM on day 3094 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside  and do some work

The longer I live the more I realize life is but a moment this moment is our lives and while circumstances will never be ideal for any of us but maybe just maybe there’s magic in choosing to be happy regardless.

Day 3093: My Life Plan

We all need a life plan (how do we want people to feel and how do we want the world to be when we’re gone)– that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 2: 29 PM on day 3093 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside  and do some work

This morning sitting under a tree it dawned on me that all of need a life plan how do we want people to feel and how do we want the world to be when we’re gone I want people to feel loved, important and wanted after a conversation with me and I want the world to be a kinder, more compassionate and more accepting place by the end of my life on Earth

Day 3092: Lent 2019

“What are you giving up for Lent?” It’s a question a lot of people will get these next few days. If you want to change your body, perhaps alcohol and candy is the way to go. But if you want to change your heart, a harder fast is needed. This narrow road is gritty, but it isn’t sterile. It will make room in ourselves to experience a love that can make us whole and set us free. – Pope Francis

It’s 1: 55 PM on day 3092 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, and do some work

Yesterday marked the beginning of Lent in our church and since my doctor doesn’t approve of me fasting I have decided to give up impatience for Lent it’s already proving difficult but I’m going to try my best to be patient with myself and others.

Day 3091: Human Being Under Construction

“Life is like a roller coaster, live it, be happy, enjoy life.” – Avril Lavigne

It’s 1: 21 PM on day 3091 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work

Three weeks from today I turn 28 which has me reflecting on life I’ve made mistakes, lost faith and hurt people along the way and for that I’m deeply deeply sorry I’ve also tried my best to spread laughter, love, kindness and smiles I hope that evens things out somewhat. Dear world, please bear with me I’m a human being under construction (and I will be till the last moment of my life

Day 3090: Love Well

Even if all we do is love well we’ve succeeded– that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 4: 30 PM on day 3090 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside  and do some work.

Recently someone taught me that even if all we do is love well we’ve succeeded in life and for that I’m eternally grateful to her

Day 3089: Life Won’t Let You Forget

Life won’t let you forget the ones you love– that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 5: 52 PM on day 3089 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  spend time with family and do some work

Today I was reminded that no matter geography life won’t let you forget the ones you love it’s beautiful how some people I love include other people I love into our conversations thus making said other people a part of our day

Day 3088: Why I Am Keeping My Cross

Stand for all that makes you who you are – that’s my message to the world

It’s 12: 28 PM on day 3088 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside  and do some work

Earlier this year after the carpenter insisted on praying for me twice in the space of two weeks I considered taking my bracelet off I felt like the cross attached to it was an invitation for everybody who thought I was broken and needed healing to pray for me but you know I have decided once and for all to keep my bracelet on and people will learn from me that God loves all His people, that we don’t necessarily have to have the standard set of abilities to be alright in the world. I’m standing for my faith and who I am (even if I have to do it sitting down) #DifferentIsCOOL

Day 3087: What the World Needs More Of

What we need in the world is not more millionaires it’s more people with compassion– that’s what I keep realizing

It’s 2: 19 PM on day 3087 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside  and do some work

Today I was reminded that what we need in the world is not more millionaires it’s more people with compassion I know lots of young professionals with lots of money and very little social consciousness it’s their money they can do whatever they like with it but as someone who has been on operating tables I can tell you when you think you may never wake up again it’s not the alcohol-hazed parties or the things you acquire that you remember it’s your kindness and the impact you have on other people’s lives that will forever remain with you.
