Failing to attempt is worse and more painful than failing in the attempt – paraphrasing from  Jane Raphaely’s book Unedited

Yesterday I finished reading Unedited by  Jane Raphaely the book details the adventures of South African media mogul  Jane Raphaely I love book for it’s refreshing honesty and for reminding me that as a woman it’s important to back myself and believe in myself at all times

Day 3104: Living in WHAT IS

Whining about things we can’t change doesn’t help anything– that’s my message to the world

It’s 11: 44 AM on day 3104 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and work on my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water – thanks to Alessandra Cavalluzzi who donated $60 yesterday which brings the total raised to $292 of $28 000 with 104 days to go

Today I realized I would have to run my campaign for charity:water whilst dealing with daily power outages it is what it is I can’t change it so I’m choosing to work through it and around it.

Day 3103: 28 For 28 – a fundraising campaign benefiting charity: water

“If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.” – Loran Eisely

It’s 3: 13 PM on day 3103 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and create and promote my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water – thanks to Gaynor and B, Marco, Stan Faryna and Marisa who’ve all made donations so far which brings the total raised to $174 of $28 000

This morning I started 28 For 28 – a fundraising campaign benefiting  charity: water, a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries – because I believe that when we give people access to clean water  we give more than water because clean water gives health, an opportunity at an education and most importantly  access to clean water gives people  back the priceless gift of time (the time women spend collecting water they can spend with their families, starting a business or even going back to school).  . My goal is to raise $28 000 for charity : water in honour of my 28th year of life. For more information about my 28 For 28 Campaign log on to https://my.charitywater.org/nisha-varghese/28-for-28   to make a donation  and use #28For28  when tweeting about this campaign.

In the darkest of times remember there are more good people than bad – that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 00 PM on day 3101 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

Today I woke up to the news of the mosque shootings in New Zealand What kind of human beings enter a places of worship and shoots people…who raises these people? SO SO SAD. I cannot walk and some who can use their abilities to hurt people it hurts my heart. My condolences to all those personally affected by this tragedy. I continue to live in the knowledge that although it doesn’t seem so there are more good people than bad in the world

Catherine Constantinides Speaks on the Rights of the Saharawi Child @UNGeneva

“We are creating a generation of broken human beings and when we create broken human beings we create new social ills that we have to deal with in the future.” – Catherine Constantinides

Yesterday Catherine Constantinides participated in a child rights session at a side-event of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and spoke about how the basic human rights of the Saharawi child (child of the Western Sahara) are not being upheld I agree wholeheartedly with Catherine that human rights, particularly children’s human rights, should be actioned and not just live on paper. Watch Catherine’s Address at the Child Rights session:

Day 3100: Live for the joy and success of others

It’s 10: 59 AM on day 3100 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

Sometimes it’s your duty to take your place at tables you don’t belong and conversations you probably have no part in  – that’s my message to the world

It’s 2: 20 PM on day 3099 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

Recently I’ve learned that sometimes it’s your duty to take your place at tables you don’t belong and conversations you probably have no part in to move the ball forward.

Day 3097: Human Connection

Value people over things and places and tell them you do – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 3: 47 PM on day 3097 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse  and do some work

The older I get the more I realize life is not about things or places it’s about human connection and meaningful interaction.
