Today is Maundy Thursday and I was thinking how all of us want to go through life intact and without scars but God breaks us to create a point of entry. I’m proud of my broken parts because it is there God can be most easily seen

Do your work well and be detached from the outcomes– that’s what I keep being reminded of.

Recent events have reminded me to do my work well and be detached from the outcomes it’s the only way not to go insane

Today as my sister sits in the other room watching a movie and I sit here working to bring clean water to people I remind myself that discipline is choosing between what you want now and what you want most.

Some days you make it while others you just make it through– that’s what I keep being reminded of.

Today we went to a seafood restaurant and I tried a bit of the Mussels my dad was convinced I would hate it and after I tried it I found out he was right but at least I had the courage to try something new
