“Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.” – Larry Lorenzoni
It’s 1 : 55 PM on day 1425 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, read Psalm 113, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and bananas for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature and help my friend Ramon Thomas promote his event – on August 21 Ramon will be interviewing entrepreneurs if you like to attend this online event RSVP here https://plus.google.com/events/c6crpfi3qqk2i7o1unfht5abke8 .
Today is my brother’s 14th birthday (happy birthday Kevin) and in honour of that I wrote down 5 life lessons that I’ve learned that I’d like to pass on to him. Take a look:
5 Life Lessons for My Brother On His 14th Birthday
- Always say please and thank you because nobody on this planet is here to serve you if they do it’s because they want to not because they have to.
- Always be grateful for everything you have because there are people out there who have less than you who still manage to smile.
- Listen to your elders because although they don’t know everything they do know more than you because they’ve been alive longer than you.
- Never give up because the difference between winners and losers is that losers quit when winners carry on.
- Do everything you can and more to help people because when all is said and done people won’t remember how much money you had or how many cars you had but they will remember all the things you did to help others.
