Day 702

Love is being willing to do anything in your power to see someone else smiling and happy– that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 2 : 58 PM on day 702 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  work, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself All Bran Flakes  for breakfast, drink coffee by myself,    work some more and exercise my right hand – it’s definitely less stiff than it was yesterday I am  able to pick up things and  type 🙂   .

Today I read Rick van Beek: Devoted dad runs triathlon carrying his teenager daughter who has cerebral palsy and just started  balling my dad and I barely talk aside from the pleasantries we exchange, he doesn’t come to any of my physiotherapy sessions, he doesn’t offer to help with my exercises… he just doesn’t it’s like my mom and dad both decided that I was my mom’s problem which is probably why Rick’s story touched me so much he tugs his daughter through the water in a kayak, pulls her behind him in a cart as he cycles and runs the last leg pushing her in a buggy all because she loves being outdoors. Are you willing to do anything in your power to see someone else smiling and happy?

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
