Day 1375: Bars and Melody take on bullying

Please help me God, I feel so alone
I’m just a kid, how can I take it on my own
I’ve cried too many tears yeah writing this song
Trying to fit in, where do I belong?
I wake up every day, don’t want to leave my home
My momma’s askin’ me why I’m always alone
Too scared to say, too scared to holler
I’m walking to school with sweat around my collar
I’m just a kid, I don’t want no stress
My nerves are bad, my life’s a mess
The names you call me, they hurt real bad
I want to tell my Mom
She’s havin’ trouble with my Dad
I feel so trapped there’s nowhere to turn
Just goin’ to school
Don’t wanna fight I wanna learn
So please mister bully
Tell me what I’ve done
You know I have no Dad
I’m livin’ with my Mom

Bars and Melody, “Hopeful”

It’s 12  : 38 PM on day 1374 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Psalm 62,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still no  donations since 12 June but a few people have promised to donate which is very good – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings and continue promoting my campaign – still no donations with 29 days to go I will not panic my hope is in the Lord,  I will not panic my hope is in the Lord.

A couple of weeks ago I came across Bars and Melody’s Britain’s Got Talent audition and I was really moved by the anti-bullying message of the song which I’m sure has helped millions of kids around the world. Listen to “Hopeful” by Bars and Melody below:
