Things look different from the other side of the situation – that’s what I keep learning 🙂
It’s 6 : 35 PM on day 776 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, ,publish my Disability of the Day feature, , publish my Kid of the Week feature, go to church, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast, make a donation to #MAKEASTAND! Lemon-Aid – it’s a great campaign started by 8-year-old Vivienne Harr she sells lemon-aid every day to raise funds for Not For Sale PLEASE contribute she needs to raise $20 657 in 5 days to reach her fundraising target of $75 000 – and feed myself rice and curry for lunch.
Yesterday I wanted to donate to #MAKEASTAND! Lemon-Aid but there were so many things that had to happen before I could do that I had to have a credit card (or send the money as a cheque), I had to check if the website was secure (it is)… suddenly I had a feel for what the donors of my campaign went though and I felt guilty for constantly asking and reminding them to make a donation. Has being on both sides of a situation made you a better person?
I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.
